Biography

Katherine Peeke A.A.S (hons), ASGFA, MA

My experience stems from a juxtaposing of various disciplines. Having held positions in photography, photomicrography, draughtsmanship, graphic- design, and airbrush painting. Although this mix of creative expression may at first appear disconnected, the morphing of these skills has come to support and influence one another, contributing to my way of seeing.

I hold a distinction in Graphic Design and Advertising from Parsons School of Design in New York with a postgraduate study in airbrush techniques and a MA in Drawing from UAL Wimbledon.
I continue to explore new possibilities through my practice, embracing experimental materials incorporated into graphite imagery, along with a mixed media approach.

My leanings are towards figerative in painting, a linear, drawing style and urban themes in photography, all with an emphasis on portraying the paradox of illusion.
