Constantin’s dance is a drawing I made to celebrate changing perspective in my life. My mom is hugging our new cat, in the centre of the picture there is a female figure I made at a workshop that I reproduced here as a “memento” to embrace change. The two men from XIX Century come from a picture I saw in an hotel in London in a moment when I was very happy and scared and the two drums come from Costantino Beltrami’s collection, the man who discovered Mississipi’s river source during his most important ethnographic expedition.

“I Have Kissed You For The Last Time” is a verse from the song “Visions of Gideon” by Sufjan Stevens that closes the beautiful movie “Call me by your name”. Probably the film I watched the most during my covid time at the end of last summer. It represents me in the room where I was staying and that I was about to leave at the end of my illness. Mixed with that room’s elements there are some details from a beautiful fresco about "The last supper" I admired in Florence, at San Marco’s Convent. I wanted to depict the mixed and bittersweet feelings I proved during those months in Italy and during the covid time. It has been a surreal and oniric moment.
